While waiting in auto rickshaw for signal to go green a poor boy came to me with a tower of books. Books seem pirated to me. He was totally unaware of the fact that he was committing an immense crime. An innocent criminal I found on the streets of a never stopping city.

At Western Highway crossroad, Goregaon East, Mumbai.

  1. Never mind. Most of them aren’t newly published books, so most of the authors will probably have earned the main money they would from them. I’ve seen quite a few of those titles in our local charity shops going for next-to-nothing, so I guess we shouldn’t look too harshly at a boy selling a few copies on the streets in order to feed himself. The only question I’d like to ask is what percentage of the profit goes to the supplier of those books? I bet the boy works for a pittance.

    • Hey Sarah!! Thank yo for stopping by and taking time out for commenting.Seriously they just get peanuts for selling. They sell books in 100 Rupees and they just get 10 to 15 bucks on a book. Its really pitiful.
