Butterfly on a leaf

ButterFly on leaf iso 800, 55mm, f/13, 1/400Sec

On one Sunday I was clicking landscapes. After couple of wide prints I started cutting down my canvas to macro and I happened to find this butterfly on a leaf. I wished to capture it before it flew away so I rushed in fear to click it. After the click I realized it was dead and that was the reason it was on a leaf and did not fly away.

Soothing smell of mud, water from pot, the open sky,  grass grown knee heights, field full of crops and fulfillment of being at home is what makes it a perfect place.

Dada Hari Ni Vaav

Vaav as we say in Gujarati, a step well is popular as an ancient Indian art form. It’s construction began in around 600 A.D. and went on for many years till 11th to 16th century. Main purpose of this architectural structure was to store water. It also served as a place of social gathering and religious celebrations.
Watch out for my next post on Step Well.
